Pixel 9 Pro Fold
Google's second book foldable — bigger, brighter, and finally Pro.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a foldable Google smartphone released Sep 2024, with a launch price of $1,799. It pairs the Google Tensor G4 with a 8.0" LTPO OLED 120 Hz display, a 48 MP · OIS main camera and a 4,650 mAh battery. In SpecEagle's editorial review it scores 86/100 — The software foldable. Standout strengths: largest, brightest inner foldable display in the class. and 5× telephoto — rare on a book foldable. Main trade-off: tensor g4 trails snapdragon foldables on raw speed and heat.
The software foldable.
Pixel 9 Pro Fold leads on the things Google controls — display brightness, computational photography, seven years of updates — and trails on the thing it buys from a partner: the Tensor G4 is no Snapdragon 8 Elite for sustained load. If you fold to read, edit photos and live in Google's AI, nothing else competes; if you fold to game, look at the Galaxy Z Fold.
