The verdict, up front

Xiaomi's first premium swing.

Mi Note was Xiaomi reaching upmarket — a curved dual-glass phablet with an OIS camera and a genuinely premium feel. The slightly dated SD801 held it back, but it proved Xiaomi could build aspirational hardware, not just value phones.
